Dave Saward came to Manchester VT on Sunday afternoon of 8/25/2019 to conduct a two hour clinic for youth coaches in the John Werner Youth Soccer League (JWYSY). Dave's credentials include:
- Middlebury College Men's Soccer Coach for over 3 decades.
- In 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) honored him with the Mike Berticelli Excellence in Coaching Education Award given annually for long term service to soccer.
- Dave is the director of coaching for the state of Vermont (VSA), a chair of the NSCAA tournament committee for New England, is a senior staff coach with the NSCAA (now the United Soccer Coaches), a certified soccer coach of both the British and Canadian Soccer Associations, and holds the NSCAA Advanced Coaching Diploma.
Dave's clinic was a filled with good tactical and technical training for young players sprinkled with some big picture coaching philosophy and British humor.
